Airport strikes in France cause chaos

Strikes in two of France's major airports are predicted to result in the cancellation of nearly 400 short and medium-haul flights today, as well as causing major disruption for the capital's over and underground rail network.

With five if the countries biggest unions striking in protest of policies aimed at pepping up the sluggish French economy striking teachers, post office and government workers and bankers hope to force a re-think, although with many of the countries National newspapers also involved in the strike it may be a while before any impact is fully reported.
